Here's another commission: This is one of two, 40x40" flower paintings I did for the Garden Room of Brennan's Restaurant in Houston, Texas. It was one of my most challenging projects, requiring infinite levels of patience and concentration, as I battled wilting flowers and falling petals under the hot glow of my spotlight! I tried to balance the profusion of elegant blooms with the simplicity of the vase, a common water pitcher. The reflective surface is a piece of glass with black velvet cloth underneath.
