| Commission for Longue Vue House and Gardens in New Orleans, in honor of Dr. Neil Odenwald. |
This week I completed this watercolor painting of the
Professor Neil Iris, a
beautiful bi-colored iris named in honor of Dr. Neil Odenwald in 2000.
It was done as a commission for the venerable Longue Vue House and
Gardens in New Orleans, on the occasion of Dr. Odenwald receiving the
Edith Stern Legacy Award, celebrating his contributions to the
horticultural arts. The hand-lettered calligraphy was also done in
watercolor.
